I love to see the temple

Family,

I only have an hour today because we are going to the temple Wednesday. I'm so excited to go to the temple!

The work is going awesome. The beginning of the week we were rejected by EVERYONE. Absolutely everyone and we were losing investigators, but we endured it faithfully and now we have 5 new ones and a family came to a baptism. It's looking so awesome. Can you pray for a Shi Ai Wei? I love her so much.

Next week is move call. I feel like I'm going to leave here. I've been here half a year and I just feel it. But I don't like thinking about it because it’s up to our sweet Heavenly Father and I'll do whatever is needed.

Oh, BEST NEWS They have a Doctrine and Covenants in pinyin now. I'm loving it. Now we can teach W.o.W and Sabbath so much easier, so good.

Glad all is doing well. Have you read the True Shepard’s talk? We read it in RS and it was amazing. It was about Home Teaching but I feel like it's just like missionary work.

Love you,
Sister Burr

Princess Life

Beloveds,

Wow! It was such a sick week this week. Sister Rohlfing and I got sick and we were down for two days. She was a lot sicker than me. I made baby rice! Mom you would be so proud. So this week went by a little slower. It was so nice to get back out and do the work. It was a breath of fresh air to just talk to people and be out spreading the good word!

The sweet Wu Family! Hey, can you send some prayers their way? Pray that they can gain a testimony and be baptized? They are wonderful and have a problem with tithing but it's not a real problem because as soon as their testimonies increase and they learn more they won't see commandments as such restrictions. I started tearing up in our lesson this last week because Wu JM, so sincerely was asking how you do choose between giving a tenth of your income to the Lord or bringing your kids to the doctor when they are sick. Man. Isn't that the question we all have? When she asked it you could just tell and I just felt that she knew what was right. You could see it in her eyes.  Her real question is how on earth do you find the strength to do what the Lord asks you to do no matter the circumstance. My heart went out because I feel like I've asked this countless times and it always comes down to those three things: faith, love, hope.

Faith that it will work out. Love for the Lord, and hope that he will do as he promises. They are moving along great and sister Rohlfing and I are back on our feet! This week is power week. Good thing we had some good sick days! Basically they pick crazy high numbers and challenges and we go out with faith and we do it. Absolutely into that!

Love you all!

New Year's

Beloveds,
Hey guys. Oh man. I was so wiped out these past two weeks. Just EXHAUSTED. It was because of GuoNian (Passing of the New Year). All we did was eat so much at members’ houses for a week. Lunch and dinner. It was so crazy and it was so funny because they all bought us pizza and made pasta because they thought everyone else would be making Taiwanese food and wanted us to not get tired of the Taiwanese food but in reality all but 5 out of 14 families did Taiwanese food.

Penelope is just blossoming. And peiked for Cao Tai Tai. She shared a killer testimony about God and his love. She went from not believing in God in her Father to testifying with convincing power that He is our Father and knows our needs. The Spirit is a miracle worker.

She went to knock doors with us the other day and it was so fun. Sister Rohlfing and I really wanted chocolate during dinner and so we were joking and said, hey lets pray and hope God will impress someone to let us in their house and then give us some chocolate. (I'm so sorry my thoughts are like this!) Hou lai, we were out tracking with Penelope later that night and the last house we were knocking on was this girl we had spoken to earlier about English. We talked to her and then said "hey do you guys want a cookie?" We were willing and it was a chocolate cookie and tasted so good! She didn't set up and wasn’t too interested BUT moral of the story. God knows us so good. Man he really knows and loves us. That was a testimony to me that no matter what our need, our concern the Lord is there for us. It was a silly little cookie, but really it was God saying "hey I'm here don't worry I got ya" RIGHT?

Love you all so much, And always remember "There's nothing worth sharing like the love that lets us share our name"
